The fourth annual Auction Affair by Fix Georgia Pets (FGP), on Oct. 20 at The Estate in Buckhead, will play host to a herd of animal lovers who support FGP’s mission to reduce Georgia’s pet overpopulation. Each year, 350,000 cats and dogs are euthanized in the state of Georgia. By sponsoring spay and neuter clinics, mobile units and private veterinarians, the organization makes the prevention process affordable. The Beatles themed event will include an Abbey Road style entrance and Strawberry Fields open bar, and the color scheme is based off of the band’s infamous Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album. New York City DJ duo AndrewAndrew will entertain guests during the evening. Look out for the signature cocktail, the Beatle-tini, a mix of vodka, simply syrup, cucumber and fresh mint. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m., and live and silent auctions will rally the fundraising. – Jamie Hausman
