TANGERINE TANGO

TT-0113

Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Tangerine Tango fashion show gathered 65 of Atlanta’s most fashionable and philanthropic at Bloomingdale’s in Lenox Square. Honoring Hunger Action Month and supporting the fight against hunger, the event, which raised approximately $7,000, included an eye-catching show on the catwalk that paraded the fashions of Theory, Alice and Olivia, Hugo Boss, Ted Baker and more. Former WSB-TV anchor Monica Pearson served as mistress of ceremonies while guests sipped on The Tango Twist, a specialty cocktail created for the event by The Wrecking Bar. There was also an open dialogue on the work ACFB is doing in the community. Proceeds from tickets sales went in line with the organization’s mission to aid those in need of proper nutrition in 29 counties in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. ACFB accumulates more than 60 million pounds of food and groceries each year to fulfill its daily mission of stocking food pantries, night shelters, childcare centers, senior centers and community kitchens. The nonprofit has been making a difference in our community since 1979. – Jessica Wise
