From “Fixer Upper” to “Flip or Flop,” there’s no end to home remodeling shows on television today. Now you can step away from the screen and into reality during the 6th annual NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes on Saturday, Oct. 24. The National Association of the Remodeling Industry’s (NARI) Atlanta chapter is showcasing eight amazing renos, including three in the Buckhead and Sandy Springs areas. Tickets are $20 in advance and proceeds benefit CURE Childhood Cancer. The tour is self-guided and hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Here’s a preview of three homes on the tour. – Jamie Hausman
20 PUTNAM DRIVE N.W.
Cruickshank Remodeling took on this Buckhead home’s kitchen and family room area, transforming it from an all-white display with little natural light to a neutral space with bright light and modern touches, including cabinetry featuring a ripple effect.
4700 CHERRYWOOD LANE
Harbour Towne Construction built a stone patio and covered porch for this Sandy Springs home, where owners asked for a covered sitting area with views of their landscaped backyard. The plush seating and dramatic shelter allow for endless entertaining inside a structure that seamlessly blends into the main home.
5335 HARROWOOD LANE
Danneman Design remodeled the kitchen of this home in Sandy Springs. The homeowner only intended to replace the island because of a leaky pipe, but eventually remodeled the entire room. The off-white cabinets feature glass door accents with hidden LED tape lighting, making the 12-foot ceilings a focal point in the lofty room.
