SPEND A ROMANTIC EVENING PADDLING THE CHATTAHOOCHEE
If you’re looking for something fun and different to do with your significant other, head to the Chattahoochee Nature Center May 17 or May 24 for Date Night on the River. Start the evening with a picnic dinner before hitting the water for an adults-only, 2.5-hour sunset canoe paddle along the Chattahoochee. During the roundtrip journey, scout out local wildlife with the center’s experienced naturalists. “What better way to spend an evening than taking a leisurely paddle down the Hooch?” says CNC marketing manager Jon Copsey. “Float downstream and hear the birds and river animals as they get ready for the night. It’s the perfect way to spend some time together in a peaceful setting, surrounded by nature.”
The center’s grounds open at 5:30 p.m., with the paddle starting at 6. Registration is required and must be completed by the Wednesday before each trip.
