Opened Aug. 28 and running until Jan. 3, 2027, the High Museum of Art presents I SPY! Walter Wick’s Hidden Wonders, the largest survey of the photographic illustrator behind the I Spy! and Can You See What I See? children’s book series. The exhibition spans his five-decade career, showcasing iconic images and rarely seen works, including three-dimensional models. Each piece reveals his storytelling via a miniature world that presents optical illusions and puzzle challenges.

Visitors of all ages can explore the wonder and craft behind Wick’s visual stories, which have captivated readers across generations by blending art, science and technology. This exhibit marks the 11th installment in the High’s ongoing exhibition series celebrating children’s book art and authors. It is organized by the New Britain Museum of American Art.
