STAR WARS INVADES POPULAR BUCKHEAD ATTRACTION
There’s still a few months before the latest film in the Star Wars series— the one in which Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher reprise their iconic roles—hits the big screen, but you don’t have to wait that long to get your fix. A traveling exhibit on view at LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta through the end of the year, titled the LEGO Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace Miniland Display, features many of the franchise’s otherworldly creations—in miniature, of course. “Guests will be transported from the beautiful rolling hills of Naboo to the treacherous terrain of the desert planet of Tatooine,” says Aries Viera, Legoland’s master brick builder, who helped install the exhibit. “Interactive features will offer hands-on fun for even the youngest of Padawans, who can, for example, take part in a thrilling Podrace with the young Anakin Skywalker and help defeat the evil Droid Army.” There are even fog effects! – JB
