The Rollins family stunned The Lovett School community when they made a record-breaking $30 million commitment to construct the Rita Anne Rollins Hall in honor of Randall and Peggy Rollins’ oldest child. It is the biggest single donation in the history of the school and one of the largest to an independent school in the country. “I was floored and feel so lucky to be shepherding the school at this time,” says Head of School Meredyth Cole.
The Rollins family’s multigenerational ties to Lovett include Rita Anne Rollins ’72 who died in an accident when she was a Lovett junior, Pam Rollins ’75, Tim Rollins ’81 and Amy Rollins Kreisler ’88, who made the presentation.
The new flagship building will feature student “makerspaces” for independent exploration, robotics and media studios, a performing arts venue, a chapel, dining room and central campus green.
