NETHERWORLD turns 30 this season.
For three decades, NETHERWORLD Haunted House has shaped the modern haunted attraction industry, growing from a 1997 Kennesaw start-up into one of the nation’s most celebrated horror destinations. Founded by film veterans Ben Armstrong and Billy Messina, the attraction pioneered theatrical, cinematic-style storytelling in walk-through horror, eventually relocating to a permanent Stone Mountain campus in 2017.
Today, that campus at 1313 Netherworld Way includes escape rooms, a monster museum and a Halloween midway. This year’s 30th-season celebration will spotlight the attraction’s history through two new attractions centered on returning characters and iconic storylines drawn from its archives. Curse of the Collector unites classic NETHERWORLD monsters in a battle against a new character known as The Collector. Beyond Oblivion: Legacy of Evil centers on the villain The Mangler and a nightmarish world of twisted labs and forgotten horrors. NETHERWORLD opens select nights beginning now and runs nightly from Oct. 14-Nov. 1, with a final weekend Nov. 6–7.
