The High Museum will be the first museum in the United States to present a new body of work from Thomas Struth, the German photographer known for his large-scale color photography of cityscapes, architecture, portraits, landscapes and more. Tickets to the exhibit “Thomas Struth: Nature & Politics” cost $12 for children ages 6 to 12 and $19.50 for adults.

One of the largest whiskey-tasting events in the United States, Whiskies of the World is coming to the InterContinental Buckhead Oct. 22 from 7 to 11 p.m. The event draws more than 200 exhibitors from around the world and will feature food and cigar pairings. Tickets cost $140.

Whether you’ve never spoken a word of Spanish before, or you took four years in high school, Atlanta’s Latin American Association has classes for you, hosted in a fun and relaxed environment. Saturday classes start on Oct. 29 and last seven weeks. Weekday classes begin Oct. 31 and meet twice a week for five weeks. Tuition costs $250 for new students, plus textbooks.

Hadassah Atlanta, one of the city’s largest women’s organizations, is celebrating its 100th year of serving the community with a gala on Sunday, Oct. 30, at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead.
