ANNUAL BEER FEST RETURNS TO BROOKHAVEN
Get the summertime fun brewing with a visit to the Brookhaven Beer Fest. The celebration brings together the chance to sample more than 200 local and national beers and wines with live music, a DJ and local food trucks with bites for purchase. Local crafters and brews that are scheduled to appear include Atlanta’s Sweet- Water and Monday Night, Marietta’s Red Hare, Athens’ Terrapin and Alpharetta’s Jekyll. The seventh annual festival brings its tasting tents to a new location this year at Brookhaven Park, less than a mile from its previous location next to the Brookhaven MARTA Station. It has sold out in previous years with an average attendance of 4,000 craft beer lovers, so don’t delay in buying a ticket. Taking MARTA or using ride sharing services is encouraged. The 21-and-over event will benefit Angels Among Us pet rescue. – CE
