LANTERN FESTIVAL BRINGS LOCALS TO LIGHT UP THE RIVER

Pack your flashlights! The Sandy Springs Lantern Parade is back for its second year. The event was created by local artist Chantelle Rytter, producer of the popular BeltLine and Decatur lantern events. The parade of colorful lights travels from North Springs United Methodist Church downhill to Morgan Falls Overlook Park on the evening of June 10. Local food vendors will set up at Morgan Falls at the end of the 1-mile route. Bring your own creation or learn how to make one by attending a lantern-making workshop on June 3-6 at Sandy Springs United Methodist Church for a small fee. Shuttles will transport attendees back to the church after the event. – CE
