vero_final_0007Vero Pizzeria in Brookhaven has added lunch service throughout the summer on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Chef Matt Swickerath’s sandwiches, salads and Neapolitan pies will be available starting at noon on weekends. Pizzas are cooked in about two minutes in the restaurant’s Acunto pizza oven, cast of clay from Mount Vesuvius’ volcanic rock. The restaurant, which opened last year, is the sister restaurant to Brookhaven favorites Haven and Valenza.
